good brand name, bad sound, bad format, bad sound, no sound, bad July 5, 2008 9 out of 16 found this review helpful
This looks like a nice video camera. Don't judge a book by the cover. I have made several movies with this camera and none of the sound came out even loud enough to hear when the movie is played back, to top it off, the movie format it produces movies in is AVI format, and microsoft media will not even play it. you have to go thru a video format transformer to get a video clip to be playable on your new windows player. The sound is the big killer....i have no idea if it is the microphone is so small or what, but I have another video camera by AIPTEK that is same size and the sound and video work great on it, plus the movies made by the AIPTEK can be played by microsoft player and also are directly importable to my Adobe Premier video software, whereas the movie clips from the Vivatar will NOT IMPORT into the Adobe Premiere Video editor at all! I would have hoped the brand name of Vivatar would make a better camera than this. don't waste your money on this dog.
Great Camera/Digi Cam May 13, 2008 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I really like this camera/camcorder. Great resolution, Good Price, Easy to use. The only shortcoming of this camera is the LED flash. Its a little weak and only works well when in close proximity to the subject.
