Product Description The CUVD20 Everio Share Station is a DVD burner designed specifically for use with Everio GZ-MG555, GZ-MG155 or GZ-MG130 hard drive camcorder. You now have the unique opportunity to be able to create DVDs without the need for a PC. The JVC Everio Share Station connects via a USB cable to the Everio and allows the camcorder to transfer footage directly to a DVD. These new Everio camcorders convert .mod files to DVD Video format, which the Share Station then makes into DVD Video discs that can be played on most DVD players. Once connected via USB 2.0, the camcorder automatically identifies the DVD burner and is used to control the burning process. The desired video clips are selected from a menu that appears on the camcorder's LCD, and with the push of a button they're transferred to a blank DVD that you've loaded into the Share Station. With an HD Everio, you can create HD discs with DVD-R DL (Dual Layer) discs. The CUVD20 Everio Share Station can also be connected to a PC for DVD burning and reading. Can Also Be Uses As Standard DVD Burner With Your PC Dimensions - 16 x 20 x 12 inches Weight - 8 pounds

JVC DVD Burner December 16, 2008 Great product and great seller. The burner is extremely easy to use. The opportunity to burn the dvd's without having to use a computer is great. Plus, I know if I ever decide to do some editing with the computer I can still use the burner with my computer.
Awesome! September 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was a great purchase! Very, very easy to use and fairly quick burning. It is perfect for easy removal of videos, especially if your computer doesn't have enough hard disk space! Love it!

JVC warranty not worth much April 7, 2008 5 out of 9 found this review helpful
I bought this DVD burner 8 months ago. I used it about 10 times, and then it stopped recognizing disks and wouldn't work at all. It was still within the 1 year warranty, so I called the company to get directions on how to send it in for repairs. I was informed that I'd still have to pay $80-90 labor, because the product is only warranted for labor for 3 months. When you include postage to send the product in, the cost to get JVC to repair it would be about $100, or more than half the cost of the product new. Online reviews I've read since I bought this indicate that this malfunction happens a lot. I thought readers would like to know that the warranty is basically useless, unless you want to gamble $100 on a less than $200 product that will probably break again when you get it home. I will ask more questions and do more research when I go to get another DVD burner, and it won't be a JVC product.
Worked very well and can be used by someone not computer saavy just no Photograph transfer which is curious. February 8, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Worked very well and can be used by someone not computer saavy just no Photograph transfer which is curious.
The Dvd will record dvd-r without much work and practically no work if you are just copying all that is on your video camera, it just fills and closes the first dvd and asks for others until it is done(ours needed 3 dvd's to get all from camera. One surprising although not critical omission is that the dvd's don't include the still photographs that you have on the camera, you have to use an sd card in the camera and switch so that all picts are stored on the sd card. ALSO... the everio camera my father in law has will only use up to a 1 gig sd card so if you are having trouble using a sd 2 gig etc, that is the problem.
