 How Did They Do It? January 8, 2009
We just took the TomTom on a road trip, and it was amazing! When we "disobeyed" the directions, it simply recalculated the route according to where we were then. And when we took a side-trip, it waited for us, ultimately remembering where it was we were going. It talks or it doesn't -- whatever you want, in whatever voice, in whatever language (Provencal? Basque?) What more could you ask?

this model is not very good with maps and are really old maps. The routes calculated are not the best. No option to customize route to maybe make maximum use of highways. All in all less than worth the money in my opinion. Also as a positive it has a good satellite reception. Recalculated new route very fast.
Love Our New TomTom January 8, 2009
I am so happy with the new TomTom I ordered for my husband for christmas. He gets lost as soon as he leaves the parking lot! It has great volume capabilities. It is nice and loud. It also has some great features I was not expecting such as alarm notification if you leave it in your vehicle, choice of voice notification, language and accent. It is hysterical. We choose the voice of the English Woman who speaks with a great English Accent. It really came in handy for more things than what we thought. Over the Holiday we were out of town in an area neither one of us was familiar with. We were looking for a Mcdonalds and remembered we could ask TomTom and and viola! Presto...... Mickey D's was just down the street! It is awesome! For the price It is a great value.

First I bought a TomTom for myself. I liked it so much I bought one for my wife. We liked our TomTom's so much we bought TomTom's for both our sons! That makes four TomTom's and four happy travelers!! You can't beat TomTom's bang for the buck.

The only negative to this system is you have to use an address, you cannot enter a name.
